Nationwide Public Procurement Service Specialized Construction Industry Transition Table. Provided by Public Procurement Service
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Public Procurement Service announced on the 5th that it has conducted a comprehensive overhaul of the bid participation qualification registration information for more than 56,000 specialized construction companies registered on the Nara Market.
The comprehensive overhaul was carried out to prevent the inconvenience and operational confusion caused by companies having to individually apply for changes to their bid participation qualifications on Nara Market, in line with the implementation of the major category system for specialized construction industries starting this year.
The revised details include adding the major categories and main fields of specialized construction companies from the Construction Industry Knowledge Information System (KISCON) to the integrated major categories in the Nara Market bid participation qualification industry information, and converting existing categories into main fields.
However, each specialized construction company must check the revised information on Nara Market before participating in bids going forward, and if there are discrepancies, they must directly apply for changes to their bid participation qualifications by attaching supporting documents such as their construction business registration certificate.
Kang Kyung-hoon, Director of the Procurement Management Bureau at the Public Procurement Service, said, “The comprehensive overhaul of specialized construction industry categories is the first step in system improvements related to the implementation of the major category system.” He added, “The Public Procurement Service will support the prompt service implementation by reflecting the revised major category system in announcements, bidding, qualification evaluations, and contract sections.”
