Jinhee Park "Severe Memory Decline... Went to Hospital for Alzheimer's Diagnosis"

[Asia Economy Online Issue Team] Actress Park Jin-hee revealed that she even received a hospital diagnosis due to severely deteriorated memory after giving birth.

On the 30th, Park Jin-hee appeared on SBS variety show 'Womance is Needed' and warmly greeted Choi Jung-yoon. Choi Jung-yoon introduced Park Jin-hee as "the first actress friend I became close with while working in this field" and described her as "a life partner. Sometimes a mother, an older sister, a friend who is everything."

Choi Jung-yoon asked Park Jin-hee, who is currently starring in the historical drama 'Taejong Yi Bang-won', "Historical dramas have a large scale, right? Do they keep working hours?" Park Jin-hee replied, "Thanks to that, actors get to breathe and have time to look over the script. And you usually memorize scripts quickly, don’t you?"

Choi Jung-yoon, who returned after 6 years with 'Amor Fati', shared the hardships of being a lead in a morning drama. She said, "This time, I just couldn’t memorize the lines well and fell into self-doubt," adding, "Even though I had perfectly studied the script, as soon as I put it down, I couldn’t recall the lines. It was so embarrassing and I got stage fright that I couldn’t say a single word," she recalled.

Park Jin-hee responded, "I experienced that during the drama 'Memory'. Even though I memorized diligently, I made small mistakes during filming," and confessed, "I was so worried that I even visited a hospital. My memory had deteriorated so much that I wondered if it might be Alzheimer's," surprising everyone. 'Memory' was Park Jin-hee’s comeback work after giving birth to her first child.

She continued, "Specialists say there are many such consultations after childbirth," and added, "It took quite some time to overcome it. Even now, not everything has fully returned."
