Perfect Drinks to Enjoy on Days Like These When You Want to Get Tipsy

How About This Kind of Alcohol? DrinKit Liquor Diary Collection

Every Friday, you can find the Alcohol Diary on Drinkit’s Instagram. This corner features various types of alcoholic beverages, selected either as new releases or products that have caught attention on social media, with editors personally tasting and introducing them. So, if you are a drinking enthusiast (especially a beer lover), you might have already tried the drinks introduced by Drinkit, and if you are not very familiar with alcohol, you might choose what to try based on the editors’ comments. Recently, there have been many exciting collaboration announcements. Standing in front of the liquor shelf brings both happy dilemmas and serious concerns about whether you should really try them. The continuously announced collaborations include Pyo Moon Makgeolli born from the meeting of Gom Pyo and Hangang Brewery, Buldak Bokkeum Myun meeting beer? Buldak Mango Ale, and the ice cream you used to enjoy meeting makgeolli, Babambam Makgeolli! We have gathered these three alcoholic beverages recently introduced on Drinkit’s Instagram in one place. The stories that couldn’t be told on Instagram start now.

Pyo Moon Makgeolli

This makgeolli is recommended for those who dislike the typical throat irritation caused by makgeolli because it has low carbonation and a smooth texture. It offers a pleasant, mild carbonation and a nutty yet sweet finish. It doesn’t have the heavy body like Neurin Maeul Makgeolli, but it’s not very light either. We recommend pairing it with greasy pajeon (Korean green onion pancake).

Buldak Mango Ale

Is beer spicy? Actually, no. This beer is designed to tame the spiciness of Buldak Bokkeum Myun (Hot Chicken Flavor Ramen). Sometimes when eating spicy food, drinks with strong carbonation can make the spiciness feel even stronger. Considering this, this ale-type beer was created to be sweet but not overly carbonated. However, it is not as intensely sweet as fruit wine. The mango aroma and flavor are subtly noticeable, giving off a sweet and slightly bitter charm. For evenings when just eating Buldak Bokkeum Myun feels insufficient, enjoy it together with Buldak beer.

Babambam Makgeolli

Babamba is Babamba even when reversed...! This makgeolli has a texture similar to sikhye (sweet rice drink). It tastes just like melted Babamba ice cream, but a bit sweeter than typical chestnut makgeolli. It has a similar feel to radler beers like Tiger or J?ger. The makgeolli flavor is not strong, so it goes down smoothly. It’s a taste that anyone can enjoy without dislike, so it’s highly recommended even for alcohol novices! You can drink it alone without any burden.
