[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] Yoon Seok-yeol, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, personally cooked and served food to citizens.

On the 29th, a 12-minute video titled "Seokyeol Hyung's Restaurant" was released on Yoon's official YouTube channel. "Seokyeol Hyung's Restaurant" is produced as a total of 12 episodes, each about 10 minutes long.

In the video, Yoon wore an apron over a cardigan and met with citizens. Previously, he appeared on the SBS variety show "Master in the House" in September, showcasing his cooking skills with dishes like rolled omelet.

Yoon said, "The goal of our restaurant is not to make a lot of money but to serve healthy food that makes the customers feel good when they come." He added, "My cooking is simple and made easily with few ingredients."

He also recalled memories with his parents, saying, "On weekends, I used to take my parents to famous restaurants like the kalguksu noodle house in Seongbuk-dong, but as they got older, they found it bothersome and difficult to go out. So on Sundays, I made simple dishes and ate with them. After eating, my father said, 'If you quit public office later, you should open a restaurant.'" Yoon's father is Yoon Ki-jung, an emeritus professor at Yonsei University.

On that day, Yoon prepared three menu items for the restaurant: signature black pasta, kimchi fried rice, and beef tofu hot pot.

The female customers ordered the signature black pasta, the "chef's recommended menu." Yoon boiled the pasta noodles, prepared ingredients such as onions, zucchini, and pork belly, and stir-fried the pasta sauce and noodles. He generously plated the noodles and garnished the dish with pickled radish.

While cooking, he explained, "If you boil spaghetti noodles with cooking oil or olive oil, then add clams or shrimp and tomato or cream sauce, it becomes spaghetti."

The video ends with Yoon serving the finished dishes and watching the customers' reactions. The next episode of "Seokyeol Hyung's Restaurant" will be released on the 31st.
