Active Improvement of User Environment Including Menu and Image Quality
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Domestic online video service (OTT) TVING announced on the 28th that it has officially launched an application (app) for Android TV.
By officially launching the Android TV app, which was previously only available on Viewing, the TVING app can now be installed on all TV environments supporting the latest Android TV operating system (OS).
The TVING app for Android TV can be downloaded directly from Google Play on TVs or set-top boxes with Android TV OS 8.0 or higher installed, as well as Chromecast with Google TV. The TVING app installed on Viewing will be automatically updated to the latest version.
To coincide with the launch of the Android TV app, TVING is creating an optimized viewing environment for TV. Usability has been greatly improved with an enhanced login screen, and ultra-high-definition service is also provided, supporting up to 4K when using devices that support high resolution.
Kang Seon-kyung, TVING Android TV PM, said, "We have officially launched the app so that various high-quality libraries, including originals, sports, concerts, and musicals that can only be enjoyed on TVING, can also be enjoyed on Android TV. We plan to create a higher level of high-quality user environment on Android TV through continuous service quality improvements in the future."
