"Showcasing Impact Design" ... Dongseo University Boosts Interactive Booth at the 20th Seoul Design Festival Visitors are viewing the interactive booth of the College of Design at Dongseo University.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Trainee Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The College of Design at Dongseo University organized an experiential booth showcasing students' design works at the '20th Seoul Design Festival' held at COEX.

The 'Seoul Design Festival,' the largest exhibition in Korea, aims to strengthen domestic design competitiveness and provide a stepping stone for designers to expand globally.

The festival has been held consistently since 2002, and the College of Design at Dongseo University participated again this year following last year's involvement.

The exhibition was conducted with the support of the LINC+ Project Group programs ‘BDAD (Before Dongseo! After Dongseo!)’ and ‘Pinocchio? Level Up,’ aiming to enhance the design competitiveness of design students and support their future planning.

The theme of the exhibition booth was ‘DESIGN FOR IMPACT,’ structured as an experiential booth embodying the vision of a ‘Design College creating impact for the local community and the world’ for future society, allowing visitors to directly experience and appreciate the design works.

The university focused on our residential environment, providing experiences connected to everyday behaviors, guiding visitors through the process of approach → use → enjoyment, thereby imprinting Dongseo University College of Design as a distinct brand.

In ‘IMPACT DESIGN,’ the letters I·M·P·A·C·T stand for Integrity, Multidisciplinary, Professionalism, Asia·Korea·Busan?Glocal (local-global), Computational Design, and Theme-based Learning, respectively. These six elements serve as the core educational indicators, representing a systematic design education aimed at adapting to the changing future society.

Dean Kim Soon-gu of the College of Design stated, “The College of Design will reinvent itself as a design college that creates impact on the local community and the world by realizing each student's unique talents and values.”

Jo Dae-su, head of the LINC+ Project Group, said, “We will support various programs to promote the excellent capabilities of Dongseo University design students through diverse channels, enabling them to play a pivotal role in the future design industry.”
