[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Chun-hee] Yoon Seok-yeol, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, expressed on the 26th that he shares the same sentiment regarding his wife Kim Geon-hee's public apology over the controversy surrounding her false resume.

On the afternoon of the same day, Yoon met with reporters at the Yeouido party headquarters and said, "My wife has apologized to the public," adding, "I feel the same way." When asked if Kim would refrain from official activities going forward, he replied, "As she said," avoiding a direct answer.

Earlier, Kim held a press conference in the afternoon, stating, "I exaggerated my career to look better and also made some mistakes," and "I sincerely apologize." She also said, "During the remaining election period, I will quietly reflect and contemplate," and "Even if my husband becomes president, I will focus solely on my role as a wife."
