[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Jeju Samdasoo announced on the 26th that it has signed a 'Memorandum of Understanding for Drinking Water Quality Analysis Technology Exchange' with the Seoul National University Agricultural and Life Sciences Shared Equipment Center to strengthen its advanced quality management system.
On this day, the two institutions agreed to cooperate on ▲ mutual collaboration in drinking water quality analysis tasks ▲ mutual cooperation in groundwater impact investigations ▲ benchmarking and technology exchange related to obtaining international accredited testing laboratory certification ▲ exchange of other analytical technologies, education, information, and mutual development.
The Seoul National University Agricultural and Life Sciences Shared Equipment Center was established to advance education and research levels in agriculture, environment, and life sciences. It was designated as a drinking water quality inspection institution in 2008. It also operates a 'Drinking Water Analysis Center' to provide accurate and reliable data for drinking water analysis.
Jeju Development Corporation, designated as the first 'drinking water quality inspection institution' in the bottled water industry last October, plans to strengthen its response capabilities to quality issues of Jeju Samdasoo and Jeju groundwater through exchanges with the Seoul National University Agricultural and Life Sciences Shared Equipment Center, and to enhance competitiveness by benchmarking the stable operation know-how of drinking water quality inspection institutions.
Kim Jeonghak, President of Jeju Development Corporation, said, “Cooperation with the Seoul National University Agricultural and Life Sciences Shared Equipment Center, which has know-how in operating drinking water quality inspection institutions, is expected to be a great opportunity to strengthen the corporation’s water quality inspection and analysis capabilities and to learn operational know-how.” He added, “We will establish cooperative systems with many external organizations in the future to further solidify the quality management system.”
