[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Wando Office of Education announced on the 20th that it conducted a 'Love Kimchi-making Volunteer Activity' together with local residents.
The kimchi-making event was held with a minimal number of participants to prevent COVID-19 infection and ensure safety, adhering to social distancing quarantine guidelines.
The kimchi made during the 'Love Kimchi-making Volunteer Activity' was delivered to about 70 households in need, including multicultural families, grandparent-headed families, and low-income families.
A local resident who participated in the event said, "By joining the event, I hope to contribute even a little to the families facing increasing difficulties due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic."
Seo Jang-pil, the Superintendent of Education, expressed gratitude to the staff and local residents who took the lead in establishing a culture of sharing with neighbors and showed growth together, saying, "I hope that through this event, Wando students will warmly remember the cold year-end and grow into people who live sharing with their neighbors."
