[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Trainee Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Jang Je-guk, president of Dongseo University, was elected as the president of the Modern Japan Studies Association, a domestic academic society related to Japanese studies. The general meeting was held in Seoul on the 17th. The term of office is two years, starting from January 2022.

The Modern Japan Studies Association was established in 1978 and is an academic organization focused on researchers in political science and social sciences studying the politics, economy, society, and culture of modern Japan.
