Companies That Moved This Year Show 'Big Smiles' in Stock Performance

9 Companies Moving from KONEX to KOSDAQ
Average Price Change Compared to IPO Price 44.79%...Excellent Performance
PNH Tech Soars 181.11%, C-Lab Also Jumps 104%

[Asia Economy Reporter Song Hwajeong] It has been revealed that the stock prices of companies that have transferred their listings this year are generally favorable. In particular, companies that moved from KONEX to KOSDAQ showed strong performance.


According to the Korea Exchange on the 20th, a total of 11 companies transferred their listings this year, with 9 companies moving from KONEX to KOSDAQ (excluding SPAC mergers) and 2 companies moving from KOSDAQ to KOSPI. Last year, there were no companies that moved from KOSDAQ to KOSPI, and 9 companies moved from KONEX to KOSDAQ. The number of companies transferring from KONEX to KOSDAQ remains at 9 currently, but with Laemon Laein scheduled to be listed on the 30th, it is expected to exceed last year's level.


The stock prices of companies that transferred their listings were generally favorable. The average price change compared to the initial public offering (IPO) price for the 9 companies that moved from KONEX to KOSDAQ was 44.79%. The company with the largest increase compared to the IPO price was PNH Tech, which rose from an IPO price of 18,000 KRW to 50,600 KRW as of the 17th, an increase of 181.11%. C-Lab also rose by 104%. There were three stocks whose current prices were below their IPO prices. S&D showed the weakest performance among companies that transferred to KOSDAQ, falling 32.14% from an IPO price of 28,000 KRW to 19,000 KRW. Additionally, Everybot fell by 25.75%, and ABION declined by 8.82%.


The stock prices of companies that moved from KOSDAQ to KOSPI showed mixed results. PI Advanced Materials fell 9.62% compared to the closing price on its first day of listing on KOSPI, while MCNEX rose 9.11%.


Transfers of listings are expected to continue. Laemon Laein, which is transferring to KOSDAQ, is scheduled to hold a general public subscription for two days starting today. Laemon Laein, known for producing dramas such as "A Day Found by Chance" and "Postpartum Care Center," is moving to the KOSDAQ market after being listed on the KONEX market in December 2014, seven years ago. Laemon Laein recorded a demand forecast competition rate of 1,546 to 1 among institutional investors, and its IPO price was set at 15,000 KRW, exceeding the upper limit of the expected range. In addition, Adbiotech has received preliminary review approval for transfer listing, and Sunbio and Bflysoft have submitted their applications.
