[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] KakaoBank announced on the 20th that it will operate its first-ever conversion-type developer internship program (Tech Internship).
The recruitment positions include ▲Server Developer ▲Financial IT Developer ▲Data Scientist, totaling three fields. They plan to hire a double-digit number of interns.
Server Developers develop backend servers for the bank and APIs for inter-system integration, while Financial IT Developers develop and operate systems for various financial services such as deposits, loans, foreign exchange, and electronic finance. Data Scientists are responsible for developing and analyzing anomaly detection, service recommendation, and prediction models based on data.
Applicants must be graduates of a four-year university or expected to graduate by February next year.
The application period is from the 20th of this month to the 2nd of next month, and applications can be submitted through the KakaoBank recruitment website.
The selection process consists of document screening, an online coding test, first interview, and second interview. KakaoBank plans to conduct the recruitment process swiftly so that all stages are completed within four weeks until the announcement of results.
Successful candidates will work as interns for two months starting from February 7 next year. During the internship, they will not only play a simple assistant role but also closely collaborate with KakaoBank developers and participate in actual projects, gaining practical experience and developing their skills.
KakaoBank will also separately operate mentoring programs and job training programs to strengthen job competencies.
All interns will be given the opportunity to convert to full-time positions, and KakaoBank plans to hire them as full-time employees starting in April immediately after evaluation at the end of the internship period.
Through this internship recruitment, KakaoBank aims to discover and nurture talented individuals with excellent development capabilities and potential for growth early, even if they have no prior experience.
