[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo In-ho] The North Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reexamined the achievements of Chairman Kim Jong-il in strengthening North Korea-China friendship on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of his passing.
On the 17th, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in an article titled "The Achievements of the Great Leader Are Eternal," evaluated, "The immortal record of the great general's external revolutionary activities shines with the immortal achievements of cultivating the garden of North Korea-China friendship abundantly until the last period of his life."
The Ministry mentioned that Chairman Kim visited China nine times during his lifetime, including in May and August 2011, forging a deep comradely friendship between the two countries.
It added, "Overcoming all challenges and trials of history, the firmly established North Korea-China friendship is now sublimated and developed to a higher level in accordance with the demands of the new era through the close personal relations of the leaders of the two countries," and "Today, the peoples of North Korea and China support and cooperate with each other, vigorously fighting for the advancement of socialism."
Furthermore, it stated, "The North Korea-China friendship is a special relationship unprecedented in history, an invincible friendship that cannot be broken by anything," and "The great achievements that Comrade Kim Jong-il built in strengthening and developing North Korea-China friendship and carrying out the cause of world independence will be eternal along with the history of international relations."
