Choi Moon-seop, Head of NongHyup Central Association, Appointed as New CEO of NongHyup Property & Casualty Insurance
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] NongHyup Financial Group announced on the 17th that it held an Executive Candidate Recommendation Committee meeting and recommended Choi Moon-seop, Head of the NongHyup Central Association Mutual Finance Business Support Headquarters (Executive Director), as the new CEO of NongHyup Property & Casualty Insurance.
The NongHyup Financial Executive Recommendation Committee began the management succession process on the 12th of last month and, over the past month, narrowed down candidates focusing on comprehensive management capabilities, leadership, and sales skills. After in-depth interviews, the final candidate was selected.
Born in 1963, Choi is from Gyeongbuk and completed both bachelor's and master's degrees at Kyungpook National University. He joined NongHyup in 1991 and has extensive experience across various roles, including Executive Director of the Economic Holding Company Business Support Headquarters, Head of the Central Association Member Comprehensive Support Department, and bank branch manager. He is a seasoned NongHyup professional with broad expertise spanning mutual finance, guidance and economic projects, and frontline sales operations.
In particular, Choi is evaluated as the optimal candidate to expand NongHyup P&C Insurance's business and strengthen its foundation further, based on his diverse work experience and extensive personal network.
Choi will be finally appointed at the shareholders' meeting on the 28th, following the Property & Casualty Insurance Executive Recommendation Committee and board of directors meetings on the 23rd. His term will be two years, from January 1, 2022, to December 31, 2023.
