Hotel Industry Strengthens Winter Season Content with 'Key Tenants'
Capturing Year-End and New Year Demand with Unique Facilities and Attractions
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yuri] Hotel entertainment facilities are emerging as 'key tenants.' A key tenant refers to a core facility that drives customer inflow. As the preference for "hokangseu" (hotel + vacation) with rest, gourmet food, and entertainment grows, the hotel industry is focusing on developing unique content.
According to the hotel industry on the 18th, as demand for hokangseu rises during the year-end and New Year holidays, major domestic hotels are strengthening content available at their 'key tenants.' They are offering benefits to enjoy various unique facilities such as year-round heated pools, outdoor hot springs, and ice rinks.
Paradise City introduced the 'Cabana Package' at its healing spa 'Cimer,' allowing guests to enjoy a private spa experience. This package provides access to a private indoor cabana. All package purchasers receive an Aqua Spa ticket (for 4 people) granting access to the Aqua Spa Zone and Jjimjil Spa Zone within Cimer. Rental services for spa wear, robes, and beach towels, as well as a minibar, are included. A travel kit from 'Hair Ritual by Sisley' is also given on a first-come, first-served basis. The usage period is until February 28 next year.
Paradise City explained, "The recently renovated activity game zone 'Play Lab' inside the Safari Park has added racing games, VR games, 'Sonic Series,' and 'Perfect! Super Monkey Ball 1&2 Remake' games to enhance fun for all ages from children to adults." They added, "It is an exclusive facility for hotel guests, available for one hour once per night stay."
Paradise Hotel Busan revamped its outdoor hot spring 'Cimer,' overlooking Haeundae, into the 'Galaxy & Camellia Spa' to celebrate its 40th anniversary. The 'Galaxy Spa,' available only at night, is themed around underwater stargazing. The 'Camellia Spa,' decorated with camellia flowers, offers an underwater flower viewing experience. The hotel also introduced the 'Camellia Blossom Milky Way' package, allowing guests to enjoy 'mulmeong' (water gazing) and 'byeolmeong' (star gazing) simultaneously while using Cimer all day. This package is available until February 28 next year.
Grand Hyatt Seoul launched the 'Winter on Ice' package at its ice rink, a key winter season facility, allowing guests to enjoy a winter hokangseu. Guests can view Seoul’s nightscape through the ice rink lights, making it suitable for family outdoor activities or couples’ dates. The package includes ice rink admission and skate rental for two people, as well as snack bar benefits. The ice rink opening and package stay period run until February 20 next year.
Grand Walkerhill Seoul positioned its nature-friendly 'Forest Park' as a 'key tenant.' It is currently running the 'Kids Winter Play in Forest Park' promotion, offering camping experiences for children staying at Vista Walkerhill and Grand Walkerhill. This program operates every Saturday by reservation.
