KOTRA Holds Four-Day Korean Consumer Goods Exhibition in Spain

[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] KOTRA announced on the 17th that it will hold a Korean Consumer Goods Exhibition (Corea en Madrid), a pop-up store concept event, in Madrid, Spain for four days until the 19th of this month to promote the sales of Korean consumer goods during the year-end peak consumption season.

This project consists of a K-Beauty product exhibition, an event inviting prominent influencers, and an O2O exhibition consultation meeting. The K-Beauty product exhibition is the first and largest K-Beauty pop-up store in Spain, gathering major distribution channels that officially import and sell Korean cosmetics in one place, showcasing 54 brands and over 450 products. It is held at Madrid's Callao Square, where consumers can directly compare and try K-Beauty products currently sold or newly launched in Spain.

Additionally, KOTRA invited five prominent influencers active in the beauty field and about 60 micro-influencers to the venue on the first day of the exhibition to promote through social networking services (SNS) and conduct experience events such as tutorials. The venue also features an O2O exhibition hall with innovative products from about 20 export beginner and small and medium-sized enterprises. Through this, a total of 40 online consultations are planned to be arranged.

Lee Gilbeom, head of KOTRA's Europe Regional Headquarters, said, "As the K-Beauty craze across Europe is hotter than ever, we will continue promotional events for our small and medium-sized enterprises' products to appeal to local consumers, and gradually expand support projects to K-lifestyle consumer goods related to vegan and eco-friendly markets, which are rapidly growing."
