Busan Future Policy Seminar 'Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongnam Megacity and Smart Logistics' Information Poster.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Trainee Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The 9th Busan Future Policy Seminar will be held under the theme of ‘Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Megacity and Smart Logistics.’
The seminar will take place on December 20th at Room 107, Main Administration Building, Dongmyung University. It will be broadcast live from 1 PM on the 20th via the YouTube channels of Busan City, the Smart Logistics Project Group, and Dongmyung University.
The seminar is divided into three sessions: maritime, port, and airport, analyzing industry trends and key issues in each field and proposing customized future policies.
In the airport session, under the theme ‘Development of Gadeok New Airport and Innovation in Busan,’ discussions will focus on the development and logistics strategies of Gadeok New Airport, presenting development and operational strategies.
Choi Jae-sung, CEO of Clarkson Korea; Choi Hyung-rim, professor at Dong-A University; and Kim Geun-seop, head of Port Policy Research at the Korea Maritime Institute, will present at the seminar, with representatives from industry-academia-government cooperation participating in discussions. Professor Woo Jong-gyun of Dongmyung University will lead the seminar as the chairperson.
The Busan Future Policy Seminar annually selects logistics-related issues in Busan as its theme and gathers opinions from experts in industry, academia, and government to develop and propose future policies.
The seminar is jointly organized by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, Busan Metropolitan City, Busan Port Authority, Dongmyung University, and the Smart Logistics Project Group.
It is co-hosted by the Busanjin-Haeundae Free Economic Zone Authority, Korea Ocean Business Corporation, Korea Maritime Institute, Busan Institute of Industrial Science and Innovation, Busan Technopark, Busan Port Industry Association, Korea International Trade Association, Korea Port Logistics Association, Korea Customs Logistics Association, Korea Port Industry Association, Korea Inspection and Certification Association, Korea Bunker Owners Association, Korea International Logistics Association, and the Global Logistics & Business Research Institute.
