Paju Police Arrest Suspect in 'Dating Violence' Case [Paju Police Station]

[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Amid the recent rise in so-called 'dating violence' crimes spreading as a social issue, a man in his 40s who went to find his ex-girlfriend in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, assaulted her and threatened her with a weapon was caught after a police chase.

Police officers positioned along A's expected escape route found his vehicle in Yadang-dong, Paju, and after a chase of about 4 km, arrested A around 1:35 a.m. on the 9th despite his violent resistance.

The police also found methamphetamine syringes inside A's vehicle and are investigating him on suspicion of drug use.
