[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Daekyo announced on the 15th that it has become the first education company to host the Spanish language proficiency test institution, the 'DELE (Diplomas de Espa?ol como Lengua Extranjera) Center.'

The DELE certificate is an internationally recognized qualification awarded by the Instituto Cervantes in Spain. It is a globally accepted certification recognized for its credibility and is adopted by institutions, companies, and universities.

Earlier, on October 22, Daekyo signed an agreement with the Instituto Cervantes to host the DELE Center and established the DELE Incheon Center. In Korea, the institutions authorized to administer the DELE exam are limited to Daekyo, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, and Daegu Catholic University.

The DELE exams next year will be held in April, May, July, and November. Previously, exams were only available in May, July, and November, but with Daekyo’s hosting of the Incheon DELE Center, the April exam has been added, allowing for earlier test-taking opportunities than before.

The DELE exam is divided into six levels according to difficulty: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2. It assesses four areas: reading comprehension, writing, listening, and speaking. Test takers must select their level in advance when registering.

A Daekyo official stated, “With the growing popularity of Spanish, the demand for the DELE exam is increasing, and hosting the DELE Center will help meet this demand. We opened the Incheon Center and prepared the April DELE exam to provide broader opportunities for test takers, who previously could only take the exam three times a year at two locations in Korea.”

In addition to the DELE exam, Daekyo offers 'Banbo,' an adult language test platform that enables efficient study for all language exams such as TOEIC and HSK.
