[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Chosun University announced on the 15th that the 28th Graduates' Association of the College of Medicine donated 90 million KRW in development funds to "promote research in the medical field" on the 14th.
The event was held with the attendance of Min Young-don, President of Chosun University, Jeong Jong-hoon, Director of Chosun University Hospital, Song Geun-young, President of the 28th Graduates' Association of the College of Medicine at Chosun University, Professor Lee Hyun-young and Professor Lee Jun of Chosun University Hospital, and other related personnel.
This donation was made with the participation of the Chosun University College of Medicine and Alumni Scholarship Foundation and Chosun University Hospital, aiming to promote research in the medical field, support new faculty research and overseas training, and improve the educational environment.
Additionally, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the graduation of the 28th Graduates' Association of the College of Medicine at Chosun University, the graduates united their intentions to make this development fund donation.
Song Geun-young, president of the 28th Graduates' Association and chief director of Gwangju Suwan Hospital, said, "This donation was made by collecting funds from the graduates' association, and there was unanimous agreement on supporting our alma mater and juniors." He added, "I am glad to express our love for our alma mater and look forward to the advancement through research in the medical field and support for juniors."
President Min Young-don said, "I am grateful for the meaningful donation from the graduates' association, who have shown many activities in the medical field, including alumni of our university's College of Medicine." He added, "We will spare no support for the educational environment and talent development to promote research in the medical field."
