Going on a 'Vacation' for Lunch! ... Haman-gun Partially Implements 'Lunch Break Closure System'

Every Wednesday, Encouraging Use of Government24 Website and Unmanned Civil Service Issuance Machines

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Haman-gun, Gyeongnam Province, will start a lunch break closure system every Wednesday for three months from the 20th of this month to March 31 of next year.

The break time will be one hour from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, and the closure system will be implemented at 10 locations including the main office's General Civil Affairs Division and the eup/myeon offices.

Before the full implementation of the lunch break closure system, a once-a-week closure will be conducted to reduce inconvenience to civil petitioners and allow residents to adapt gradually.

The county plans to gather residents' opinions through the operation of the closure system and make improvements to any shortcomings.

For cases requiring civil petition processing during the closure time, it is requested to use the Government24 website or unmanned civil petition issuance machines, and for services that cannot be handled online or non-face-to-face such as seal certificates and passport issuance, to visit the civil petition office outside the break time.

A county official said, “By implementing the lunch break closure system, we will boost employees' morale and strive to provide improved administrative services to residents.”
