[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] The Chosun University Private University Innovation Project Group announced on the 14th that it held a forum on the 8th under the theme of 'Private University Innovation Promotion Tasks and the Publicness and Accountability of Corporations.'


This forum was organized as a venue to explore the direction and promotion strategies of Chosun University's private university innovation tasks and to gather diverse opinions from the school corporation and university members.


The forum began with a keynote presentation by Professor Ji Byung-geun of the Department of Political Science and Diplomacy on the topic of 'Chosun University Private University Innovation Promotion Tasks and the Publicness and Accountability of Corporations.'

Representatives of the corporation and university members participated in a heated discussion, including Baek Ran, director of the Chosun University corporation, Kim Si-wook, chairman of the Faculty Council, Yang Go-seung, chairman of the Staff Labor Union, Government Seong, president of the Student Council, Kim Yong-rae, secretary general of the Alumni Association, Ki Woo-sik, secretary general of Participation and Autonomy 21, and Kim Do-hyung, deputy director of the Private University Innovation Support Project Group at Sungshin Women's University.


During the forum, various opinions from the school corporation and university members were expressed, and a consensus was formed regarding the tasks of the Chosun University Private University Innovation Project.


Jang Seon-woong, head of the Private University Innovation Project Group, said, "Through the Chosun University Private University Innovation Support Project, we aimed to improve the accounting transparency of private universities, the democracy and accountability of board operations, and secure the democracy of university decision-making, thereby strengthening the publicness of private universities." He added, "We ask for your affectionate interest and support so that we can successfully complete the tasks."


The Chosun University Private University Innovation Project Group plans to actively and proactively promote the tasks of the private university innovation project starting with this forum.
