[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Chunsu] The dazzling large Christmas tree installed in Damyang-gun is capturing the attention and footsteps of tourists.

The county and the Damyang Santa Festival Promotion Committee announced on the 10th that they have installed Christmas photo zones and trees throughout tourist spots to soothe the disappointment of the festival cancellation and allow visitors to fully enjoy the year-end Christmas spirit, eagerly awaiting tourists' visits.

In front of Juknokwon, at Yeongsangang Cultural Park, a large (5m) tree decorated with pink ribbons and doors has been installed, and the entire park features trees and Christmas photo zones with various atmospheres, allowing visitors to take romantic and sentimental life photos.

At Meta Provence, a large tree decorated with red balls and gift boxes, snowmen, and nighttime landscape lighting blend with exotic buildings to create a scene reminiscent of being in Europe.

Additionally, various sculptures and lights such as snowmen, deer, and nighttime landscape lighting have been installed throughout the old downtown area to let tourists visiting Damyang feel the excitement and joy of Christmas.

A county official said, “We prepared this to revitalize the local atmosphere, which has been depressed due to the festival cancellation, and to allow tourists to visit Damyang and create memories. We hope that taking photos at the Christmas atmosphere-filled photo zones installed everywhere will provide some comfort to weary hearts.”
