'Integrity of the Anti-Corruption Commission' Gwangju Urban Railway Corporation Achieves Excellent Grade 2 for 2 Consecutive Years

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation (President Yoon Jinbo) was selected as an excellent institution for two consecutive years by achieving a grade 2 in the '2021 Public Institution Integrity Measurement' announced by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission on the 9th.

On the 9th, the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission announced the results of the 'Integrity Survey' targeting 592 public institutions including central administrative agencies, local governments, education offices, and public-related organizations.

The comprehensive integrity score was calculated by combining external integrity evaluated by the general public and internal integrity perceived by organization members, assessing transparency and accountability of work, organizational culture and anti-corruption systems, fairness in personnel and budget management, among others.

Last year, the corporation established the first standing audit system among public corporations under Gwangju Metropolitan City to strengthen fairness and transparency.

In particular, efforts to spread an organization-wide culture of integrity, such as the implementation of the Integrity Contract Responsibility System, operation of an expert-centered Integrity Ombudsman, integrity education for workers in corruption-prone areas, and promotion of voluntary integrity policies, are analyzed to have led to these good results.
