Dongseo University College of Design Students Sweep 2021 International Character Contents Contest ... Gold, Bronze, and Encouragement Awards Won

Students from the Graphic Route at Dongseo University College of Design are sharing the joy of their awards and taking a commemorative photo.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Graphic Route students from the College of Design at Dongseo University swept the '2021 International Character Contents Contest.'

Dongseo University announced on the 9th that a total of about 20 students were selected in this contest, including Kang Kyung-min who won the Gold Prize, Lee Seo-young who won the Bronze Prize, and Kim Soo-rin, Lee Ye-rim, and Chun Ok-hee who won the Encouragement Prize.

Organized by the Korea Character Designers Association and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency, the International Character Contents Contest is a prestigious design competition with a 22-year history.

The works submitted by Dongseo University this time were produced in the Graphic Design Process class at the College of Design (supervised by Professor Kim Ki-soo) and sponsored by the LINC+ Project Group.

Kang Kyung-min, who won the Gold Prize, said, "The work 'Peace Friends' consists of characters developed to promote peace against various modern hates and discriminations, hoping to ease the wounds of many people even a little," and dedicated the joy of winning to supervising Professor Kim Ki-soo.
