Naju City Distributes 'Heating Tents' to 110 Vulnerable Households

[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Kang In-gyu) announced on the 9th that it recently distributed ‘heating tents’ with windproof effects to 110 vulnerable households facing difficult heating conditions.

The heating tent is a tent-shaped heating product installed inside the house, which has the advantage of excellent heat retention compared to electric heating pads commonly used in winter and can reduce heating costs.

Electric heating pads can strain the respiratory system due to the temperature difference between the top and bottom caused by the rapid rise in floor temperature, but heating tents block drafts and warm the interior by about 4 to 8 degrees, gaining popularity as a winter heating product.

Following the distribution to 100 households last year, the city visited target households this year with members of the Eup, Myeon, and Dong Community Security Council, directly installing heating tents, providing usage instructions, and checking the health status of vulnerable groups.

A city official said, “The distribution of heating tents was a highly praised project last year due to its excellent heat retention and heating cost savings. We hope it will greatly help the healthy daily lives of vulnerable groups struggling with the cold winter in harsh environments.”
