Industry Meeting on Vaccine Pass Scheduled
Over 100 On-site Inspections with Employee Participation Conducted
Expanded Public Campaigns to Encourage Vaccination
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The Ministry of Education will expand communication efforts such as listening to opinions and holding meetings to address parents' complaints regarding vaccination for children and adolescents and the vaccine pass system.
On the 9th, the Ministry of Education announced that it will provide opportunities for on-site opinion listening with parents, education office officials, and others regarding vaccination.
Regarding the application of the vaccine pass system, continuous communication will be conducted through meetings and on-site visits with related industries to resolve parents' complaints about private academies and other institutions.
To promote vaccination and the vaccine pass system to the public, the Ministry will expand digital content such as providing various card news and distributing Q&A materials, and will continuously promote video content broadcasting and use of public supporters through collaboration with related ministries.
During the special quarantine measures period, on-site inspections of relevant educational facilities are being carried out, targeting schools, private academies, and multi-use facilities for out-of-school students.
Considering the seriousness of the infection situation, the Ministry of Education plans to conduct more than 100 on-site inspections involving its staff, focusing manpower and capabilities centered on the Ministry's directors and bureau chiefs. Metropolitan and provincial education offices will also conduct on-site inspections of more than 1,000 schools.
The Ministry will also conduct on-site inspections of multi-use facilities outside of schools until the end of the year. To ensure the effectiveness of these inspections, a joint inspection of out-of-school facilities will be held on the 10th, chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Office for Government Policy Coordination.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Yoo Eun-hye said, "Please do your best to safely complete the academic schedule by the end of December through establishing a solid school quarantine system, and to transition to a full recovery of normal school life in the new semester starting in March next year."
