On the 18th at 7 PM, Suncheon Culture and Arts Center Grand Theater
[Suncheon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Heo Seok) announced on the 9th that it will hold a healing concert titled "Leaning on Time" at 7 p.m. on the 18th at the Suncheon Culture and Arts Center Grand Theater to help citizens recover their daily lives after a difficult year due to COVID-19.
The performance, featuring top domestic vocalists such as baritone Go Seong-hyun, soprano Kim Sun-young, tenor Lee Hyun, and violinist Park Hye-jin, will provide a wonderful healing time for classical music lovers and citizens who are thirsty for high-quality performances during the with-COVID era.
Rather than difficult and boring classical genres, the program is composed of familiar songs to the public, suited to the atmosphere of the cultural center. The Joyful Ensemble from our local Donghwarak will collaborate in this performance, offering a great opportunity for artists and the audience to breathe together with chamber music accompaniment.
To enhance cultural enjoyment rights and eliminate cultural disparities, more than 30% of the seats will be reserved for culturally marginalized groups.
Citizens who wish to attend, including basic livelihood security recipients, lower-income groups, social welfare facility users, and North Korean defectors, can apply for tickets at their nearest eup/myeon/dong administrative welfare center, and tickets will be issued at the cultural center on the day of the performance for entry.
General admission tickets are priced at 30,000 KRW for R seats and 20,000 KRW for S seats, both reserved seating, and can be purchased via Ticketlink or at the Suncheon Culture and Arts Center office. Tickets will be issued at the cultural center on the day of the performance for entry.
Regular members of the cultural center, registered disabled persons, national veterans, seniors aged 65 and over, organ donors, and holders of multi-child family certificates are eligible for a 50% discount.
A representative of the Suncheon Culture and Arts Center stated, "We will continue to proactively present the direction the cultural center should take in the with-COVID era and strive to complete a refined cultural and arts city where citizens are happy through self-planned performances involving local cultural artists and the Bangbanggokgok Cultural Sympathy contest projects."
Meanwhile, all visitors to the venue must comply with COVID-19 prevention measures such as (electronic) entry log registration, socially distanced seating, and staggered entry.
