[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Gwangju Bank (President Song Jong-wook) announced on the 9th that it will hold the “Absolute Ring Personal IRP! Tax-saving Expedition” event for customers who subscribe to the Personal IRP (Individual Retirement Pension) until February 28 next year.
The Personal IRP is a product that allows workers (including public officials, teachers, soldiers, and other occupational pension subscribers), individual business owners, and those who have received (or are scheduled to receive) retirement pay to voluntarily subscribe and prepare retirement funds. It offers tax credit benefits within the payment limit of 7 million KRW (up to 9 million KRW until 2023 for those aged 50 or older) during year-end tax settlement.
As we enter the era of 100-year lifespans, concerns about life after retirement are growing. Reflecting customers’ needs for preparing retirement funds and tax-saving benefits, Gwangju Bank is conducting three types of events related to the Personal IRP that can address both simultaneously.
The New Journey event targets customers who newly subscribe to the Personal IRP and set up automatic monthly transfers of 100,000 KRW or more. Among them, 200 people will be selected by lottery to receive Starbucks gifticons.
The Experience Up Journey event targets customers who either transfer 1 million KRW or more from another company’s Personal IRP to Gwangju Bank or make additional payments of 1 million KRW or more to an existing Personal IRP account at Gwangju Bank. Among them, 100 people will be selected by lottery to receive BBQ chicken sets.
The Level Up Journey event targets customers who change their currently managed products to fund products with payments of 1 million KRW or more. Among them, 200 people will be selected by lottery to receive Starbucks gifticons.
Additionally, all customers participating in the event will be entered into a separate lottery where 3 people will receive 10g of a golden key and 12 people will receive gift certificates worth 50,000 KRW.
Detailed information about the event can be found on the Gwangju Bank website or by contacting the Gwangju Bank customer center.
Shin Young-soo, head of the Trust Pension Department at Gwangju Bank, said, “We will continue to do our best to develop products and events so that customers can prepare solid retirement assets reflecting their lifestyles.”
