Bithumb Live Signs MOU with 'Hoeuijomgeumanhae' to Revitalize Local Economy

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Bithumb Live announced on the 9th that it has signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with the corporation 'Hoeuijomgeumanhae' to revitalize the local economy. The signing ceremony was held at Bithumb Live headquarters, Initial Tower 1. Key officials including Kang Ji-yeon, CEO of Bithumb Live, and Jung Sang-min, CEO of Hoeuijomgeumanhae, attended.

Hoeuijomgeumanhae, a media content creation company, supports special live broadcasts featuring small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), small business owners, and excellent products from Gyeonggi Province.

Through this agreement, Bithumb Live will play the role of a supplier contributing to the revitalization of the local economy and expansion of sales channels by promoting coexistence with SMEs and small business owners. The company plans to continuously focus on diversifying distribution channels by increasing purchase rates through live broadcasts with added entertainment elements for customers.

Kang Ji-yeon, CEO of Bithumb Live, said, "We signed the business agreement because the management philosophy of Hoeuijomgeumanhae, which leads efforts to revitalize the local economy and support small business owners, aligns with our company's management philosophy." She added, "We will pioneer new sales channels by conducting live broadcasts targeting small business owners suffering from COVID-19. We plan to contribute to the coexistence of domestic SMEs by supporting broadcasting systems for SMEs lacking broadcasting capabilities."

Bithumb Live is a complex commerce platform combining metaverse, NFT, blockchain, and commerce, established with a total investment of 12 billion KRW by Bucket Studio, a live commerce specialist company, and Bithumb, a virtual asset exchange. The service is scheduled to launch next month. Currently, it is preparing business agreements with 15 companies to enhance the diversity of broadcast content and provide benefits with high customer satisfaction.
