[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] NH-Amundi Asset Management announced on the 9th that it has published the '2021 ESG Report' to share the vision, philosophy, and achievements of establishing an ESG management system pursued since the appointment of CEO Park Hak-joo in January this year.
NH-Amundi Asset Management is a leading asset management company driving ESG investment. Since the introduction of Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) in 2006, it has been operating the largest scale of SRI management in Korea, starting with the industry's first pension fund SRI mandate. After CEO Park Hak-joo's appointment earlier this year, an ESG Promotion Committee was launched, aiming to establish an ESG management system in line with NongHyup Financial Group's ESG Transformation 2025 policy. In particular, it declared the vision of 'ESG First,' introducing ESG processes across all management divisions and prioritizing ESG in all management decision-making.
The newly published ESG report contains key contents on the company's overall ESG management system establishment, including ESG vision, ESG promotion strategy, ESG operational system establishment, ESG cooperation with Amundi, the second largest shareholder, ESG investment process, and ESG products. The report is scheduled to be published annually.
CEO Park Hak-joo stated, "There was a need to enhance company-wide understanding of the importance and direction of ESG management," adding, "The publication of the '2021 ESG Report' is intended to transparently disclose the will and achievements for sustainable management in the future and to communicate with various stakeholders, including the company's customers."
