National Pension Service and HUG Guarantee Support for Citizens' Retirement Preparation Together

[Asia Economy Reporter Park So-yeon]The National Pension Service announced on the 8th that it has signed a business agreement with the Korea Housing & Urban Guarantee Corporation to support the happy retirement life of the people.

This agreement was promoted with the purpose of enhancing awareness of the National Pension and retirement preparation by providing stable retirement preparation services to employees including those planning to retire, and the mutual development of both organizations through cooperation.

According to the agreement, the National Pension Service will provide retirement preparation education and counseling to the employees of the Korea Housing & Urban Guarantee Corporation, and the corporation plans to add its representative service, Jeonse Guarantee Insurance, to the related agency linkage services.

This links specialized services from other institutions in the four major areas of retirement preparation (financial, health, leisure, interpersonal relationships), with services from 21 specialized institutions currently being provided.

Both organizations plan to cooperate on joint projects to activate support for retirement preparation and other projects for mutual development.

Meanwhile, since 2015, the National Pension Service has been designated as the Central Retirement Preparation Support Center under the 'Retirement Preparation Support Act,' providing comprehensive retirement preparation services to the entire population, supporting the training of retirement preparation specialists, and developing and distributing service programs.

At 109 branches serving as Regional Retirement Preparation Support Centers, comprehensive diagnosis and education and counseling services centered on the four major areas of retirement preparation (financial, health, interpersonal relationships, leisure) are provided.

Since 2017, to strengthen support for the people's retirement preparation and improve the perception of welfare, specialized institution services have been linked for customers who need additional services in specific fields during retirement preparation counseling.

Park Yang-sook, head of the Central Retirement Preparation Center, said, "I hope this agreement will be an opportunity for many people to spend a happy retirement through retirement preparation services," and added, "We will continue to expand inter-agency cooperative projects to support retirement preparation."
