[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] President Moon Jae-in will attend the 'Democracy Summit' hosted by U.S. President Joe Biden on the afternoon of the 9th.

The Democracy Summit is a meeting aimed at strengthening democracy and responding to authoritarian regimes, corruption, and human rights violations. Over 110 countries will participate via video conference to discuss agendas such as ▲blocking authoritarianism ▲eradicating corruption ▲promoting human rights.

At this event, President Moon is expected to share the achievements of democracy in South Korea and reveal the country's efforts to promote democracy in the international community.

Attention is focused on whether President Moon will deliver messages related to China at this summit, which has a strong character of checking non-democratic countries such as China and Russia. However, the Blue House stated that "it is impossible to make a premature judgment" on this matter.
