Gurye-gun Holds Excellent Case Presentation of Our Neighborhood Welfare Mobile Team

Sharing Welfare Mobile Unit Activity Results and Opportunities for Communication

[Gurye=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] On the 8th, Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Soon-ho) held the 2021 Welfare Task Force Best Case Presentation at the Gurye-gun Office Situation Room.

The event was organized to discover and spread outstanding cases of the Welfare Task Force activities throughout the year, with the participation of 40 members including Kim Soon-ho, Governor of Gurye-gun, and Yoon Yong-jun, Captain of the Gurye-gun Welfare Task Force.

The Best Case Presentation provided an opportunity for private members from eight towns and townships to introduce activities they found rewarding through their direct efforts and to discuss future directions for their activities.

The Gurye-gun Welfare Task Force consists of 70 public-private joint members, including workers in daily life industries such as electricity and gas. They lead efforts to improve practical living inconveniences for vulnerable groups through small-scale emergency repairs such as light bulb replacement and boiler repairs, receiving great responses from vulnerable groups such as elderly living alone.

Governor Kim Soon-ho said, “I sincerely thank Captain Yoon Yong-jun and the Welfare Task Force members who have been reliable neighbors to vulnerable groups despite the difficult environment this year,” and added, “I ask for the members’ continued interest and help so that neighbors in need can spend a warm winter during the year-end and New Year holidays.”

Yoon Yong-jun, Captain of the Gurye-gun Welfare Task Force, said, “Looking back on the times spent alleviating daily inconveniences for vulnerable groups, I felt proud once again,” and expressed his thoughts, “As a Welfare Task Force member, I will take pride and strive to be a reliable shield for neighbors in need.”

Meanwhile, the Gurye-gun Welfare Task Force plans to proactively identify households in crisis facing difficulties such as unemployment and cold waves during the winter season and actively review and support vulnerable groups who need practical help.
