[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] The Gimhae City Future Talent Scholarship Foundation announced on the 8th that it received a scholarship fund of 200 million KRW from Daechang Danjo.
Starting with 200 million KRW in 2019, Daechang Danjo also donated 100 million KRW in the first half of this year, contributing a total of 500 million KRW to foster local talent.
Established in 1955, Daechang Danjo has set up local subsidiaries in the United States, China, and India, and received export towers worth 100 million USD in 2011 and 200 million USD in 2012, laying the foundation as a world-class heavy equipment undercarriage parts manufacturer.
Chairman Park An-sik said, "I entrusted this fund with the hope of becoming a stepping stone so that local students can focus on their studies in a better environment."
Mayor Heo Seong-gon said, "We appreciate the continuous interest in local talent," and added, "We will do our best to expand the number of scholarship beneficiaries."
