Taking this agreement as an opportunity, Dong-gu plans to find utilization plans linked to vacant house maintenance and urban regeneration projects for about 600 vacant houses, and to establish tourist hubs such as media-themed content experience centers in the underground shopping malls to contribute to revitalizing the local commercial district.
An official from Dong-gu said, "This agreement has laid the foundation for maintaining vacant houses and stores in the district as well as revitalizing the underground shopping malls," adding, "We will do our best to create a vibrant Dong-gu through sustainable urban regeneration by working together with villages, residents, and local issues to think about and solve problems."
