Yeungnam Polytechnic College ranked first in the 2021 National Customer Satisfaction Survey in the vocational college education service sector on the 7th.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Yeungnam College of Science and Technology in Daegu ranked first nationwide in the 2021 National Customer Satisfaction Index (NCSI) announced by the Korea Productivity Center on the 7th, achieving first place for nine consecutive years in the field of junior college education services.
The National Customer Satisfaction Index is an indicator that represents the satisfaction level directly evaluated by customers who have experienced a product or service.
It was developed by the Korea Productivity Center in collaboration with the University of Michigan in the United States to improve the quality competitiveness of companies, industries, and nations, as well as the quality of life of citizens.
As a global index that comprehensively evaluates items such as customer expectation levels, perceived quality, and perceived value, it serves as a standard that allows competition on an equal footing both domestically and internationally.
Yeungnam College of Science and Technology scored 80 points, a 2.6% increase from last year, in the 2021 National Customer Satisfaction Index survey for junior college education services targeting 21 domestic junior colleges.
The school established the Y-Contents Studio, Video Creative Zone, and Video Studio, which are capable of producing professional content for students' non-face-to-face classes, and supported the production of high-quality remote education content through dedicated staff operation.
They operated a President Meeting Week to listen to students' inconveniences and improvement requests, allowing the responsible departments to directly respond and take action.
By holding on-campus competitions to assess skills and participating in nationwide competitions such as the Creative Comprehensive Design Competition, National Student Portfolio Competition, LINC+ Project Competition, and various cooking contests, the school also focused on enhancing students' capabilities, winning grand prizes.
Recognized for its efforts, the school was selected as a general financial support university in the 2021 University Basic Competency Diagnosis and will carry out innovation support projects for three years until 2024.
It received an A grade in the 2021 Junior College Innovation Support Project (Type I) performance evaluation and was also selected for the 2021 Industrial Field Exploration and Job Mentoring Project for high school students and the Specialized Leading Junior College Support Project in new industry fields.
President Lee Jaeyong said, “Despite the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, various efforts to protect students' right to learn seem to have led to an increase in satisfaction,” adding, “We will strive to become a university that values educational quality and satisfies students.”
