[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] The Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation announced on the 8th that it delivered fire safety devices to fire-vulnerable groups in the region in cooperation with the Seoul Jungbu Fire Station.
Since signing a business agreement with the Jungbu Fire Station in 2019, KDIC has supported fire extinguishers and fire alarms annually at traditional markets and jjokbangchon (small room villages) located in Jung-gu.
This year, to prevent gas leaks in advance, about 250 gas automatic shut-off devices were provided. Products from a social enterprise sponsored by the 'KDIC Hope New Deal' project were used.
Park Sang-jin, director of KDIC, emphasized, "As indoor activities have increased due to colder weather and the spread of COVID-19, the possibility of safety accidents caused by gas leaks has also increased, so we are supporting gas automatic shut-off devices. We will continue to strive to realize social value in various ways, including building a community safety net."
