SK Shielders Receives Seoul Mayor's Commendation... Recognized for Contributions to Supporting Protected Children

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] SK Shieldus was recognized for its contribution to spreading a culture of sharing and received the Seoul Mayor's Commendation on the 7th.

The '2021 Seoul Mayor's Commendation for Donors and Meritorious Persons Helping Neighbors in Need,' awarded to SK Shieldus, is given to donors, companies, and organizations dedicated to social welfare activities such as volunteer work and financial support for socially vulnerable groups.

SK Shieldus received the award in recognition of its efforts to promote a culture of sharing through the 'Happy Donation' fundraising campaign for protected children, conducted in partnership with the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation.

From January 2017 to this year, SK Shieldus donated a total of 260 million KRW, using a 'Matching Grant' method where the company matches the amount donated by employees from a portion of their salaries. The collected donations are used through the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation to support childcare expenses for vulnerable groups and aid for abused children.
