Hanwha Systems to Build Metaverse Public Education Platform with EBS

[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] Hanwha Systems ICT division announced on the 8th that it will collaborate with the Educational Broadcasting System (EBS) to develop a metaverse-based public education service.

Hanwha Systems signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with EBS yesterday at the EBS headquarters in Ilsan, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, to establish and operate the metaverse-based education platform "EBS MetaCampus." Through this MOU, Hanwha Systems will develop EBS's metaverse education platform named "MetaCampus," build a virtual public education space, and provide elementary and secondary learning content and services.

Hanwha Systems will combine its cloud-based next-generation learning management system (LMS) and artificial intelligence (AI) brand "HAIQV" platform with MetaCampus to develop ▲ curriculum-linked learning such as English, mathematics, and economics education ▲ immersive education in environment and earth sciences ▲ experimental experiences and vocational training services ▲ AI learning activity recommendations and learning activity data analysis functions.

The two companies plan to carry out MetaCampus development and pilot projects next year, officially launch the service in early 2023, and expand to language-specialized education for foreigners and multicultural families.
