Naver D2SF Makes New Investments in Two Techfin Startups

[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Naver's startup incubation organization D2SF announced on the 8th that it has made new investments in two tech-fin startups.

The investment targets are ‘Welshicon,’ which developed a financial and health data fusion analysis solution, and ‘Crazy Alpaca,’ which is developing a data-driven real estate analysis and prediction solution.

Welshicon developed a solution that fuses and analyzes heterogeneous data from two different domains: ‘finance’ and ‘health.’ Representative algorithms developed by Welshicon include ▲scoring health risk like a credit score ▲predicting diseases and medical expenses based on health management levels ▲estimating financial risks due to health changes.

By utilizing health data in financial analysis, it provides users with more advanced information. It has already proven the value of its algorithms by securing partnerships in both finance and health sectors with KB Healthier, NICE Information Service, and Huray Positive.

Crazy Alpaca is developing ‘Budong Budong,’ a data-driven real estate analysis and prediction solution. It features user-centered analysis and recommendations. It provides personalized customized real estate analysis reports considering each individual's economic situation, such as real estate holdings and available cash.

Additionally, it has independently built financial artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms so that general users can make rational decisions based on data like professional institutions such as investment financial institutions. It received great responses during the pilot test conducted in the first half of this year, confirming its marketability, and plans to conduct a beta test in March next year.

Yang Sanghwan, leader of Naver D2SF, said, "The two newly invested teams are startups that help users make wiser financial decisions through differentiated approaches such as fusing data from different domains or analyzing and interpreting data from the user's perspective." He added, "We expect them to establish a presence in the market based on domain expertise and rapid execution."
