Amorepacific Signs Renewable Energy Supply Agreement with SK E&S for Carbon Neutrality

[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Amorepacific announced on the 8th that it has signed a "Renewable Energy Supply Agreement for Carbon Neutrality" with SK E&S.

SK E&S is a global eco-friendly energy company that has built a green portfolio centered on four core businesses: hydrogen, renewable energy, energy solutions, and eco-friendly LNG. It is currently developing and operating renewable energy projects with a scale of approximately 3GW (gigawatts) domestically.

Through this agreement, Amorepacific has secured a stable supply of renewable energy from SK E&S, laying the foundation to accelerate the fulfillment of its sustainable management commitments and achieve RE100.

Furthermore, Amorepacific and SK E&S have agreed to collaborate on joint investment plans to revitalize the renewable energy market and to work together on proposing improvements to systems and policies that encourage corporate use of renewable energy.

In June, Amorepacific announced its "Five Major Commitments for Sustainable Management by 2030," declaring carbon neutrality for its global production sites by 2030 as a promise to coexist with nature. Additionally, it plans to raise the renewable energy usage rate to 100% at its headquarters, technology research centers, and directly operated stores.

Sehong Ahn, CEO of Amorepacific, stated, "Through the business agreement with SK E&S, we will be able to reduce greenhouse gases generated from Amorepacific's production activities and minimize the impact on the climate. As a corporate citizen leading coexistence with nature, we will also responsibly reduce greenhouse gases generated at every stage of using Amorepacific products and services."
