[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The Korea Venture Business Association held the '2021 Night of Venture Entrepreneurs' event on the 7th at EL Tower in Yangjae-dong, Seoul, to wrap up the year.

Attendees included Kang Sung-chun, Vice Minister of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, Kim Boon-hee, President of the Korea Women Venture Association, Ji Sung-bae, Chairman of the Korea Venture Capital Association, and Lee Young-min, CEO of Korea Venture Investment.

The event was organized to review major issues in the venture industry over the past year and to promote the leap and harmony of venture companies. An awards ceremony was also held for venture entrepreneurs and related organization officials who contributed to the development and fostering of the venture industry.

At this year's Venture Awards ceremony, MBD, TeamFresh, CaseMatec, Bolt Creation, and SemiHow received the Minister of SMEs and Startups Commendation in the corporate category. Additionally, Im Joon-seok, Director of the Retail Tech Research Institute, along with five others, received awards in the employee category, and Choi Se-hun, CEO of InTwin, along with two others, received awards in the learning venture category.

Following this, in the 'Best Member of the National Assembly chosen by venture entrepreneurs' category, Kang Hoon-sik, Kim Kyung-man, Kim Byung-wook, and Kim Jung-ho from the Democratic Party, and Lee Young and Chu Kyung-ho from the People Power Party were selected and received plaques of appreciation for their contributions to creating an innovative venture ecosystem.

Kang Sam-kwon, Chairman of the Korea Venture Business Association, stated, "Everyone here is surely united in supporting the second venture boom," adding, "The association will do its best to build a more mature venture ecosystem and create a better business environment so that entrepreneurs can feel the impact on the ground."
