Since its launch, the center has supported 1,170 companies and created a total of 5,647 jobs as a representative job creation project in the marine and fisheries sector.
Each center provides customized support suitable for each company's growth stage, including startup mentoring, prototype development, domestic and international market development, and acquisition of technology certifications. There have been 123 cases of successful startups through support from the centers.
The Ministry plans to establish centers in all coastal local governments by 2025. Additionally, it plans to strengthen specialized support projects so that regional centers can develop differentiated industrial competitiveness based on the strengths of their respective areas. Kim Jaecheol, Director of Fisheries Policy at the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, said, "We plan to expand centers nationwide to ensure there are no regional gaps in supporting marine and fisheries companies."
