Suncheon Fire Station 'Songgwang 119 Ambulance Team' Launch Ceremony

Deploying Ambulances, a Long-Awaited Wish of Local Residents

[Suncheon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon Fire Station announced on the 7th that it held the 'Songgwang 119 Ambulance Team Launch Ceremony' and began operating the ambulance team at the Songgwang 119 Regional Unit.

About 50 officials from related organizations, including Ha Su-cheol, Chief of Suncheon Fire Station, Suncheon City, Suncheon City Office of Education, Suncheon Police Station, and Suncheon Volunteer Fire Brigade, attended to celebrate the launch of the ambulance team. The event proceeded in the order of guest introductions and progress reports, viewing of ambulance equipment exhibition, CPR demonstration, and commemorative photo session.

Until now, the Songgwang 119 Regional Unit was only equipped with one fire pump truck for fire suppression, so when an emergency ambulance situation occurred, ambulances from the Juam and Nagan 119 Regional Units located near Songgwang-myeon had to be dispatched to the scene, making it difficult to secure the golden time.

With the launch of the Songgwang-myeon 119 Ambulance Team, local residents and visitors to Seungbo Temple, Songgwangsa, can now receive prompt emergency medical services in case of urgent situations.

Ha Su-cheol, Chief of Suncheon Fire Station, said, "The Songgwang 119 Ambulance Team, which has been the wish of the residents of Songgwang-myeon, has taken its first step. I thank all the guests who attended the launch ceremony of the Songgwang 119 Ambulance Team, and Suncheon Fire Station will continue to actively work to eliminate blind spots in emergency medical care."

The ambulance vehicle deployed at the Songgwang 119 Regional Unit is a new model equipped with 70 pieces of 36 types of specialized emergency medical equipment, including an automated external defibrillator.
