[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Professor Lee Hyo-cheol, head of the Department of Emergency Medical Services at Honam University, announced on the 7th that he conducted safety training for more than 20 workers at Gwangju Sinhaewon, a children's facility, on two occasions, the 1st and 6th of this month.
In the practical training held to improve response capabilities in emergency situations, Professor Lee taught infant and child cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), treatment methods for airway obstruction, and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) for children.
Professor Lee said, "I hope this will serve as an opportunity to enhance quick decision-making skills in urgent situations and secure the safety of children through appropriate responses." He added, "I will continue to do my best to cultivate proper safety awareness and strengthen the capabilities of workers at children's facilities."
