[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] On the 7th, Kim Chang-ryong, Commissioner of the National Police Agency, observed the 'Special Training to Strengthen On-Site Response Capability' and emphasized, "When dispatched to the scene, officers must be in a prepared state to handle unexpected situations."

On the same day, Commissioner Kim visited the Guri Police Station in Gyeonggi Province in the morning to observe the special training and held a meeting with on-site police officers, stating, "Through team-based, practical simulation training, we must develop capabilities that ensure the safety of not only the public but also each individual police officer."

In the afternoon, Commissioner Kim is scheduled to observe the 'New Police Physical Force Response Instructor Training' at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.

Following controversies over inadequate responses in incidents such as the 'Incheon Interfloor Noise Stabbing' last month, the police are conducting special training to strengthen on-site response capabilities. This training involves the appropriate use of physical force in real situations, such as deploying tasers against stabbing suspects, and includes participation from new police officers, local police, and detectives who respond to incidents on-site.
