Shinhan Financial Group Holds the 4th Shinhan SheHeroes Conference

Shinhan Financial Group Holds the 4th Shinhan SheHeroes Conference Chairman Cho Yong-byeong is delivering words of encouragement to the 4th generation members of Shinhan Shearoz.


[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Shinhan Financial Group announced on the 7th that it held the '4th Shinhan She-roes Conference' at the Shinhan Financial headquarters.


Shinhan She-roes is the first female leader development program in the financial sector, launched in 2018. It has established itself as the standard for nurturing female talent representing the financial industry by expanding the pool of female talents through various programs tailored to the characteristics of each sector.


About 300 people, including Shinhan Financial Chairman Cho Yong-byeong, female leaders within the group, and the 4th cohort of She-roes, participated in this She-roes Conference event. In accordance with social distancing guidelines, prospective female leaders within the group participated via YouTube live streaming.


The 4th cohort members of She-roes presented the achievements and vision of female leadership gained through CEO and external expert group mentoring and various educational programs conducted throughout the year under the theme of "Difference that makes Difference (Diversity)."


Following this, special lectures by Cho Kyung-sun, Group Head of Shinhan Bank and the 1st cohort of She-roes, and the appointment ceremony of group female mentors were held.


Additionally, Oh Jong-nam, Chairperson of the Scranton Women’s Leadership Center, attended the event and delivered a lecture on female leadership. Chairperson Oh said, "I deeply empathize with Shinhan Financial Group’s commitment to nurturing female leaders," and added, "Please continue to strive so that female leaders can grow in a better environment based on the excellent program called Shinhan She-roes."


Chairman Cho said, "Shinhan’s female leaders will acquire core competitiveness that no one can easily imitate based on the difference called diversity gained through Shinhan She-roes," and urged, "Create an environment where juniors can dream of the future and become female leaders who serve as role models."
