Car Wash + Charging in One... Hyundai Motor Opens and Operates 'EV Park' in Yongin

Test Drive and Experience Event for Ioniq 5 Until the 9th of Next Month

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Je-hoon] Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 7th that it has established and officially started operating 'EV Park,' a space combining car washing and charging, within the Washholic Bundang-Yongin Center located in Giheung-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi Province.

EV Park is a space prepared by Hyundai Motor in collaboration with Washholic, a domestic car wash specialist company, to turn the charging time of electric vehicle customers into an enjoyable experience. Hyundai installed four 100 kW-class fast chargers in the drying zone inside the Washholic center, allowing electric vehicle customers to wash their cars and charge simultaneously.

Customers owning Hyundai passenger electric vehicles who use EV Park are also offered special membership benefits. Upon first visit and membership registration at EV Park, customers receive a 10% discount on electric charging fees, free use of the drying zone, an additional 10% recharge on the car wash IC card, and a 5% discount on car wash products in the store.

Meanwhile, to commemorate the operation of EV Park, Hyundai will hold an event until the 9th of next month every Friday to Sunday, where customers can experience the lifestyle of the Ioniq 5. Customers visiting the car wash during the period can experience the Ioniq 5 exhibition space decorated with camping and car camping concepts and can also apply for a test drive service.

Additionally, during the event period, upon request, a self-car wash tool cart including chemicals, towels, tools, wired dual polishers, and sterilization/deodorization flu guns will be provided. EV Park membership customers can rent the cart immediately upon request, and other general customers can use the cart after completing the Ioniq 5 test drive experience.

Furthermore, Hyundai will conduct a free charging event for Hyundai passenger electric vehicle customers using EV Park during the event period. A Hyundai Motor official stated, "We started operating EV Park, which combines car washing and charging, to make customers' charging time a more valuable and positive experience," adding, "We will continue to build such customer convenience facilities and strive to enhance customers' charging experiences."
