Choi Jong-ryeol 'Don't Live as My Mangku'
The author has been sociologically exploring the lives of local women for several years. It began with the lives of local youth. They discovered a unique "reflective awkwardness" and a "moderation-oriented group style." Afraid of losing, they do not leave their homes to enter competitions. This made the author curious about the parent generation that instilled such group tendencies. Then, they encountered conservative familialism, where men and women follow their respective paths without question. This is a social critique novel dissecting that "problematic household."
